Swipe file collections

Email swipe file collections, organized your way.

A useful swipe file is more than a long list of emails. Make small, intentional collections for the launches, offers, and ideas you want to come back to.

Start with 3 collections on Free. Pro includes 100.

A PLACE FOR EVERY REFERENCEExample

Organized by what you want to remember.

Black Friday offers

A season of promotions

SaaS launches

New products, thoughtfully introduced

Design references

Layouts worth revisiting

One email can belong to more than one collection.

Illustrative workflow. Your archive contains the emails you collect.

From saved email to useful reference.

  1. 01

    Name a swipe file

Choose a purpose you will recognize later, such as SaaS Launches.

  2. 02

    Add useful examples

Save emails from the viewer. Reuse the same email in multiple collections.

  3. 03

    Return with a question

Browse the collection yourself or retrieve its references from your connected AI client.

Keep the reason you saved it close at hand

Create a collection with a name and an optional description. Black Friday, Welcome Sequences, and Product Launches are useful starting points. More specific names—such as Single-Product Launches or Offers with a Clear Deadline—can make the collection easier to use later. You decide which messages belong; there are no automatic AI tags or classifications to clean up.

An email can appear in more than one collection. A launch message might be useful for both its layout and its offer, so save it to both Design References and Launch Emails. Removing it from one collection removes that membership, not the saved email in your archive.

Browse by brand. Collect by purpose.

Brand pages bring a sender’s messages together automatically. Collections solve a different problem: bringing your chosen examples together across senders. Keep a small set of references for an upcoming project without losing the broader chronological history in your marketing email inbox.

Open a collection to browse its saved emails, search within it, and inspect each original message. Rename the collection when a project changes, remove examples that are no longer relevant, or delete the collection without deleting its underlying emails. PromoStash is a reference library, not a campaign planner or workflow automation tool.

A focused starting point for your own work

For ecommerce research, separate a seasonal sale from everyday promotions. For SaaS research, keep onboarding references distinct from product announcements. An agency marketer can use collection names to organize references for different projects, but all collections still belong to one private account. There are no shared workspaces, client access controls, or team collaboration features.

If you connect a compatible AI client, you can ask it to retrieve the emails in a named collection through MCP. That gives your question a focused set of references. Collections are an organizational aid, not an authorization boundary: a connected client has read access to your account’s archive, not just one collection.

A few practical details

Good questions.

Are collections included in the free plan?

Yes. Free includes 3 collections alongside 100 stored emails. Pro includes 100 collections. Monthly and yearly Pro have the same feature limits; compare them on the pricing page.

Does PromoStash organize collections with AI?

No. Collections are entirely manual. PromoStash groups incoming emails by sender domain, but it does not generate summaries, decide a message’s campaign type, or create collections for you.

Can I share a collection publicly?

Collections are private to your account. There is no public collection link or collaborative workspace. This makes PromoStash a place for your own research rather than a public email-design gallery.
